Joining the Blog World!

My husband, Dan, and I were discussing how to come up with an outlet for my overly active creative juices, and lo and behold... here I am!! I have enjoyed following a number of other bloggers, and hope someone out there will feel the same way about this blog. I have several fun ideas and projects that I want to create and share with others! My favorite projects involve re-purposing unwanted junque! I LOVE thrifting, and yard "sailing"! I hope to spark an interest in others to do the same thing! Here are a couple of the things I have made out of yard sale junque!
Garden Mushrooms! We lost a couple of our beloved Birch trees and needed to find something to do with the trunks after cutting them down!

I am working on several more that will be for sale soon!I think they are adorable!
Bird feeders made out of tea cups, bowls and saucers!
A Quilt made from old Denim Jeans! And in the interest of truth in advertising, this was made with the help of my DH!
And I'm so grateful!
That is a LOT of clipping!
If you've ever made a rag quilt, you know what I mean!

This is a little sample of  the junque I work in. I will share more of my past projects as time goes by (sounds like a song). Currently, I am working on several Christmas gifts, but can't post about them yet because the **SURPRISE** factor will be blown on Christmas Eve!
